Analysis Services is not available for any Express variant. If the current 'Start Mode' is Disabled as you can see in the Configuration Manager, you need to change the 'Start Mode' either to 'Manual' or 'Automatic' before start. The only real difference is Express vs Enterprise. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. During installation, it does not ask for any about instance creation. If there are more than 10 employees on client site, client cannot use express rather he has to purchase a license to use the tool as a database engine.
Step 2 Download and install. I'm sure someone will find that useful if they do the same thing that I did. In subsequent attempts, the installations were completed with errors with Database Engine installation. For some reason I took the default install on the entire package.
