Originally gold and white top, well so be it, I can't decode the special paint number to anything from the data book or my knowledge. I brought the car to local car shows and it looked beautiful, not one person can tell the difference. By using the hard lines around the rear window and down the tops of the quarters I was able to match the factory paint pretty well. But that pic iabove is a re-touched 70. I'm being sarcastic, they often are - or plans change before production sometimes. Was there a black paint code for the trucks that we could use? Yard work hits ya hard when you are old.
The paint was an exact match and I was very impressed with the entire buying experience. Please do not order based on the color you see onscreen. The color Son Of A Gun Gray has 8 different color codes. A given paint color for a year may have a different sales name for Chevrolet than it does for say Buick, Oldsmobile, or Pontiac. Very happy to deal with a company whose product is as good as advertised! A longbed Fleetside that originally sold for more new than an equivalent Fleetside shortbed, is now worth less in the custom and collector market. This would explain why its in your book.
